Joseph E. Aoun, a leader in higher education policy and a renowned scholar in linguistics, is the seventh President of Northeastern University.
President Aoun has strategically aligned the University’s research enterprise with three global imperatives—health, security, and sustainability. Northeastern’s faculty focus on interdisciplinary research, entrepreneurship, and transforming academic research into commercial solutions for the world’s most pressing problems. During President Aoun’s tenure, the University has realized a 189 percent growth in external research funding, along with approximately 1,500 patent applications filed by faculty and students.

Prince Pizzeria will generously donate pizza for the event. All proceeds raised from ticket sales will benefit Globe Santa, the signature program of the Boston Globe Foundation which works to deliver books, toys, and warm winter gear to deserving children and families across Eastern Massachusetts. Annually Globe Santa needs to raise over $1 million in order to provide quality gifts to tens of thousands of children in over 190 cities and towns.

Since 1956 Globe Santa has worked tirelessly to provide educational toys and games, award-winning books, school supplies, and warm winter gear to those who might otherwise go without during the holiday season. In 2020, more than 33,000 children in nearly 200 cities and towns throughout Eastern Massachusetts experienced a little bit of the wonder of the holidays thanks to support of our generous donors.
